Visit to the Hoki Museum in Chiba is definitely worth an art lover's time. I was floored by the talent that presented itself in all its humility and grandeur. The artists showcased there are beyond the ordinary craftsmanship.

Osamu Obi in particular caught my attention with his natural and effortless techniques in photorealism. He brings life (almost palpable) into the portraits as I have never experienced before. The paintings appear to breathe.

The more I looked at his works, the more I realized that he is an exceptional, brilliant, one of the most gifted artist of our times.
