Allied to the untamed, natural, equine species,
which races oneself.
From time to time, I canter astray.
Only to encounter an equestrian,
who attempts and decides,
To suppress and subdue,
The individualist, I am.
Momentarily, I abide and obey,
Before I shove and hurl.
The maverick, I am.
Cannot endure the manacles that impede,
I crave for the wind to caress my mane.
The eccentric, I am.
I enjoy my hooves drumming the earth as I gallop,
I do not hunger for the blinders,
which hinder my longing to regard the universe.
The misfit, I am.
My back does not anticipate the saddle,
Neither the head seeks the bridle.
I do not hanker for the shoes,
they are not by design.
The nonconformist,I am.
Grant liberation. Pro-free spirit, I am.
